What is “Divine”?
“Divine” is an interactive & immersive series. We offer a mixture between a traditional show, real time events, mobile contents, literary narrative and videogames... as well as other alternative formats, making the audience an active part of what's happening.
The argument of "Divine" weaves one platform with another (Internet with mobiles… then with a comic or a novel, a live concert or a role playing game...), following the Transmedia narrative principles.
Why do you call it “Divine”?
That's a nice question. We call it “Divine” mainly for three reasons: first, we want to talk about angels, archangels and demons... and all those creatures are celestial beings in one way or another. So, they are “divine” no matter if they are for or against God. The second reason has to do with the very nature of God transformed into the nature of the series itself: his ability to be everywhere at the same time. The latter is the most mundane reason: the cast is made up of men and women, young or not so young, but quite attractive. No matter if it's in their eyes, their gestures or in their bodies, the important thing is that everyone is near the divinity: They are all “divine”.

Can I join the cast or participate in some way in "Divine"?
We only accept angels or demons who inhabit the earth... so if you really think you can join our team, send us your CV, some pictures and the idea that you have to be part of "Divine".

In 2010. Right now we're on the process of production of the series.

How many episodes will be per season?
TV series: 13 episodes per season, 42 minutes each one.
Web series: 11 episodes per season, of about 5 minutes each... and many other amazing multiplatform contents.
Is your project fiction/non-fiction/both?
Actually it is both. We are interested in having a thin line between reality and fiction.
How do you use Transmedia Storytelling?
Creating a strong, magic and complex world all around those big questions that let us tell (or play, depends on the view) the story from multiple perspectives: What are we doing here? What is after death? Is there an end of time? Do creeds really exist? What is the meaning of suffering?
“Divine” is a series, but it is also a comic book, live events, mixed reality, videogames, novels, toys, ... a world that can be explored from a multiplatform, traveling with our characters or being part of their lives, just to evolve and finish knowing about them as much as we know about ourselves.
Where are you filming "Divine"?
In Paradise! We're in Canary Islands. A magical place with ancient vulcanoes, plenty of black sand beaches, hot girls & boys, funny people, cool discotheques, tasty food, spring weather and blue sky (all the year!)... Oh, and angels & demons everywhere!

What videocamera did you used to film your webseries?
We used the Panasonic AG-HVX-200 P2.
Nice series, but your archangels are latin & black people... Where are the blonde & blue eyed angels of the bible?
We wanted to play with our protagonists appearance. This is about spiritual beings so, the look shouldn't matter . If an angel or an archangel embodies on Earth, in the world as we know it, he'll have to have one of the many semblances that the world presents. You can also say that many of the religious works represent angels and archangels in a male form: but in “Divine”, an archangel may be a woman, and be just one of them.
Finally, we must admit the influence of the poem “Píntame angelitos negros” (Paint me black little angels) from the great venezuelan poet Andrés Eloy Blanco. Here's a translation of an extract from the poem:
Painter born in my native land with the foreign brush
Painter that continues the course of all the painters of old
Even though the Virgin may be White, paint little Black angels for me
For they too go to heaven
Painter indeed you paint with love!
Why do you deprecate those of your color,
If you know that in heaven God also loves them?
Painter of saints in the alcoves, if you have a soul in your body
Why have you forgotten those of Black color in your paintings?
Every time you paint a church you paint beautiful little angels
But never have you remembered to paint a black angel.

I've a band and it would be great if you wanted to use our songs. Are there any possibilities?
Of course they are! Just get in touch with us and tell us about your band. You can even send us mp3 samples with your songs, or give us a link to your site or your MySpace, whatever you want. If the songs are divine, definitely we will want to have them.
When you talk about angels as "otherworldly" are you trying to say that they are aliens?
Alien refers to something that dwells-lives-exists out from earth; on the other hand, otherworldly is something that dwells beyond this earth plane, it's a concept that goes beyond the material plane and digs deeper into the lands of souls, gods and spirits.
Why are they naked on the teaser?
Imagine for a moment that you're an archangel, an ethereal being, and God kick you off from heaven. Or simply remember the words said by our good friend John Lennon, Imagine there's no heaven. So, suddenly you appear here on Earth with all the things that you had in your afterlife (or should I say “before-life”?)... that is to say, NOTHING. How could they appear with clothes? Moreover, we like to take this bareness as a symbol of purity.

Who is the Director?
David Pantaleon: He is a spanish director who has won many prizes throughout his career, the last one being "La Estrella roja" in El Festivalito 2009 (La Palma, Spain) for the film “PERRO ROJO”. David is co-founder of IPP4 Films, an international and independent collective of young artists, working together in different kinds of audiovisual arts.

Who is the Director of photography (DOP)?
David Olivera: He's a DOP with many years of experience. We suggest you to visit his blog and learn more about his work, paying special attention to his labor in Sahara (Africa). Like any divine being, he is a demiurge and his creations are absolutely divine.

Who are the producers?
Bernardo G. Reinfeld: He is General Manager in ORGÁNICA DTM (integrated in Atlantia Canarias’ New Media division), a specialised company in creative design, production and New Media's experimentation. He is actively linked with projects for the Internet and new technologies since 1997. He is the Executive Producer of the 2D animation series called “CB”, selected for Cartoon Forum 2007.
Since 2008, he is the person in charge of the multiplatform audiovisual strategy in Atlantia Canarias, developing the Web Studio's business plan as well as the marketing and branding campaigns for their implantation in the Iberoamerican market.
He has been a guest speaker in conferences at the INSTITUTO DE COMERCIO EXTERIOR of the SPANISH GOVERNMENT; at the UNIVERSIDAD DE LA LAGUNA, at conferences about NEW TECHNOLOGIES for the VENEZUELAN GOVERNMENT, and at other public/private institutions.

Vicente Mora: He is an expert in international financing, director and screenwriter. In 1996, he founded MARKAB CREATIVOS to develop production services and contents. He also advised in financial subject related with media, being part of the production HOWARD HAWKS, SAN SEBASTIAN, 1972 (special showing at the San Sebastian International Film Festival) and he produced AMIGO NO GIMA (nominated to Best Ficcion Shortmovie in Premios Goya 2004) and CLANDESTINOS, directed by Sergio Cabrera and included in the collective movie in memoriam of the victims of the Madrid terrorist attack (MADRID 11M: TODOS ÍBAMOS EN ESE TREN), where he also directed the chapter called PÁSALO.
At the same time, he produced, directed and wrote for several film events like the ANTONIO BANDERAS: MEDALLA DE ORO DE LA ACADEMIA DE CINE ESPAÑOL, FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE IBEROAMERICANO DE HUELVA, PREMIOS DE LA UNION DE ACTORES, PREMIOS DE LA CASA DEL ACTOR, PREMIOS GOYA and the SAN SEBASTIAN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL.
In 2007 he created ATLANTIA CANARIAS, to work on industrial products for the cinema industry, television, videogames, web tv, tv ip, mobiles and patents related to the audiovisual industry, next to financial products and insurances. His first project with ATLANTIA is the production of PAPILLON, with BRANKO LUSTIG (Oscar Hollywood winner and executive producer of Steven Spielberg's SCHINDLER'S LIST and Ridley Scott's GLADIATOR).
He is promoter of ATLANTIA CAPITAL CANARIAS, a risk capital fund, as well as partner of ATLANTIA PRODUÇÃO AUDIOVISUAL LDA (Faro- Portugal) and ATLANTIA PICTURES (Los Angeles- USA).
He is also a teacher in the well-known INSTITUTO DE EMPRESA in Madrid, and one of EXPOCANARIAS 2023's founding members (an association of professional workers from the Canary Islands that is promoting its candidature for the World Fair in 2023).
